Boot Camp Olympics is a fun competition that takes place in the fall every 1-2 years between any and all North Shore Boot Camp Co. Boot Camps interested in competing. Each Boot Camp team can have up to 8 people (minimum of 4) on their roster. If you would like to participate individually you can, but will only be able to compete in the push-ups, sit-ups and 1/2 mile run.
The events typically include (but are not limited to):
1) 1 min. Sit up test (Everyone)
2) 1 min Push-up test (Everyone)
3) Obstacle Course (4 people)
4) 1 Mile Relay (4 people)
5) Tire Toss (2 people)
6) Sand Bag Relay Stack (4 people)
7) ½ Mile Run (Everyone)
Everyone on the roster has to participate in at least two events other than the sit-ups and push-ups. The team coaches are the Boot Camp instructors so the instructors can not participate.
This event is designed to be a fun team competition between boot camps, so as competitive as many people are - it is not geared toward the "Competitive Type". We want recruits of all levels to participate and be a part of this event. It is not whether you win or lose, but how you compose yourself during and after the competition and have a good, fun spirit cheering and congratulating everyone that is competing.
The event is FREE to Boot Campers (T-shirt cost is additional and optional). If each team would like a “Boot Camp Olympics” long sleeve shirt they can order one for $8.
The winning team will earn "The Rock!" The Rock is the most prestigious award for Battle of the Boot Camps - within Boot Camp Olympics.
The Boot Camp Olympics awards are for personal achievement in: Push-ups, Sit-Ups, and the 1/2 Mile Run. The top male and female in each of those categories will be awarded a ribbon.
This event is open to everyone and anyone currently in Boot Camp or who has been in BC the past year.
